Franck Gohier (b. 1968) is a painter, sculptor and printmaker based in Darwin. His punchy, immediate style uses bright colours, text and popular imagery to explore the political and social justice activism instilled in him as a child. His Top End location plays a major role in his practice, as do the global influence of Pop art and capitalism.
